What a Great Time!

Daddy and Marilyn having a blast at the Seaside shops. We had such a wonderful vacation with Grandpa and Grandma. It was nice to arrive home just in time for a terrific Mother's Day!

Casually lounging by the pool.

Reading with Grandma

On our way back to Indy, we stopped in Nashville for a visit with Hunter's Grandmother, Day-Day. It was so nice to see her and take a break from the drive.

Back to the Beach!

Today we had beautiful blue skies and a nice breeze off the water. It was a perfect day for the beach. Marilyn had a ball building in the sand with Grandpa and Grandma.

Sandcastles galore!

Such a great day! How lucky to be able to spend it with family. Hoping for more perfect weather tomorrow.

Where's Your Belly?

Marilyn is quite excited to show you where her belly is located. Here she uses her shovel to demonstrate.
What a hoot!

Jumping in the waves with Daddy!
More fun to come tomorrow!

At the Beach!

Today we enjoyed a relaxing day on the beach! Marilyn had a blast running around with Grandpa and Daddy, building sandcastles and playing in the waves. Notice the sand on her face!

Grandpa and Marilyn... the chase continues

Daddy & Grandma

Grandpa Don is a skilled Architect and knows the ins and outs of the construction industry. However, Marilyn is more skilled in demolition. She had a great time knocking down Grandpa's sandcastles and then playing in the sand.

Smiling proudly!

We're Here!

After a few (12) hours in the car, we have made it to Seaside, Florida! We are looking forward to a week of fun with Grandma Jane and Grandpa Don! Here are a few of Marilyn from the car.

Yelling into the bucket and then giggling about it.

Hunter and I decided there must have been a silly factory in the backseat for some of the goofy things that kept Marilyn entertained. Considering the length of the drive, she did great. Although, there was a time in the middle of Alabama when I thought we might have to be done... Marilyn stated (quite forcefully) that she was "DONE" and kept trying to get out of her carseat. Thankfully it was made to outsmart toddlers and she remained safely confined.
Now that we are in Florida, she is sleeping peacefully, and I am headed to relax!

Smiling in Patagonia!

Aunt Kate and Uncle Brett made a surprise visit back to Indy this past weekend. After visiting the Patagonia store in Chicago, they had a new dress for Marilyn. Since they were still so close, they came back by. Now they have departed again and are traveling Route 66.

Marilyn being pulled in her car by her sled dog Bolivar.
Grandpa sure does teach her some interesting tricks.

Here is Bolivar pulling Marilyn...
too funny to see in person!

Our big girl, such a cutie.
Of course, I am not the least bit biased.

Easter Egg Hunt with the Brenton Family

Easter Sunday involved a fun Easter Egg hunt and lunch at Great-Grandpa & Grandma Brenton's House. Marilyn found her share of eggs along with my cousins Joshua and Joel.

Such a cutie!

What a beautiful bright sunny Easter!
A good time was surely had by all.

And They're Off

Brett and Kate departed on Wednesday for their much anticipated road trip across the US. I borrowed this picture from Kate's post earlier today. They seem happy and free, roaming the countryside and enjoying the little things. While we miss them, we wish them the best! Feel free to follow their journey on their blog at www.fromtheopenroad.com (also linked on our site).

She loves the ones that make noise; it was hard to get her to put them in her basket.
